Kathryn Grumley is a soprano renowned for her powerful voice and captivating stage presence. In the 2023/2024 season, she embodied the iconic Blanche DuBois in Tacoma Opera’s A Streetcar Named Desire and portrayed Harriet Beecher Stowe in Marble City Opera’s The Infinite Energy of Ada Lovelace. She also performed as the First Lady in The Magic Flute with Salt Marsh Opera and brought her artistry to international audiences as a 2024 Voice Fellow at OpernFest Prague. Praised by the South Florida Classical Review for possessing a “hall-filling spinto voice” and by the Austin Chronicle for a “rich, caramel quality” that perfectly complements her characters, Kathryn’s performances are characterized by deep emotional depth and a genuine connection with the audience, leaving a lasting impression on all who experience her artistry.
